Wow! The past 2 months have absolutely flown past!
Ashleigh and I have moved to Morwell with our growing family to pastor this fine church and it has been quite the roller coaster.
But with all of these ups and downs, not once have we doubted the call that God has placed upon our lives for this season. Yes, there have been times of stress and as always there have been moments of absolute elation. Regardless of all this, we both know that God is doing a work in us, the church and the wider community, and we are called into this place at this time.
I am quickly reminded of when Peter steps out of the boat to go to Jesus on the water. Note that Peter went over the side of the boat. He just got in. He first says "If it is truly you Jesus, call me out upon the water". And when hearing that it is the Christ, he hops right out. It makes no mention of hesitation or reluctance. He simply tests whether it is God or not, and then desires for God's power to be manifested through his own life and experience.
This story resonates with our own personal journey to Eternity Church. We too have asked "God if it really is of you, call us out". And His response was clear. Our continual prayer from this point is "God, let your power and presence be evident in our church and our walk, for the soul purpose of bringing You glory! We thank You God, for Your grace abounds to us and helps us keep our eyes above the waves. All we have is Yours and for Your Kingdom. That people may drawn into a greater connection and relationship with the Living God!"
Let's see God do great things in Morwell and the Latrobe valley!
