HE IS ALIVE!
”If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied. But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.” 1 Cor 15:19-22 NASB
Easter gives us the reassurance that we have redemption from sin. The penalty of sin is death, but now we are made alive in Christ, because Christ paid our penalty on that Cross!
We now no longer live, but Christ lives in us. The old has gone, the new has come! We have a new beginning in Him.
Let’s not waste our lives, but use every breath we have to praise Him and serve Him!
Imagine the huge range of emotions that were running through the minds of the disciples, the day Jesus rose from the grave. First the huge disappointment, grief, feelings of betrayal, fear, distress and discouragement.
All these emotions were suddenly changed at the discovery of the empty tomb. Now they are shocked, disbelieving, hopeful, bewildered and amazed.
At the glimpse of their resurrected Saviour however there is now joy, love, thankfulness, amazement, excitement, laughter and renewed hope.
In our life we will experience many of the same emotions in our Christian walk. But wouldn't be great if our feelings towards Jesus were always just like those early disciples when they too realised that Jesus had rescued everyone their sins, and knew—He is alive!
