As a child I looked forward to Christmas with eager anticipation. The morning could never come quick enough! My Mum and Dad often went to great care with only a modest amount of money, to make our Christmas presents special. I remember the year I received my first chess set. I’d been playing with my brother on the kitchen table with different coloured buttons representing the pieces, and my parents must have noticed.
You know our Father in heaven notices us?
He knows our needs. He says He will not give us a stone if we ask for bread. (Lk 11:11)
God looked at the world and saw the need for the most precious gift all, a gift that would save the world from perishing, the gift of His very own son.
(Jn 3:16) This Christmas why don’t you share the real Gift of Christmas to your family and friends? You may get a wonderful gift in return, the salvation of one of your family or friends.
